Leonard Joseph CORBETT, son of William CORBETT (c. 1894- ) and Florence Ellen BREWSTER (c. 1895- ), was born on 7th October 1920 in Lambeth, London and was baptised there on 3rd November 1920. Leonard died on 31st March 1944 - in 1944, The Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire) was in Italy. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission grave registration entry for Leonard was “CORBETT, Pte. LEONARD JOSEPH, 14648488. 1st Bn. The Loyal Regt. (North Lancashire). 31st March, 1944, Age 23. Son of Richard and Florence Thurston, of South Lopham, Norfolk.”
